Astoria was originally built as a trans-Atlantic ocean liner and in 1994 the vessel was virtually stripped to her hull and re-constructed, at a cost ofUS$150 million, and restored as a beautiful, more contemporary cruise ship.
Her facilities include the impressive Olissipo Restaurant with an alternative dining option in the Lotus Buffet, a choice of five comfortable lounges and bars including the Calypso Show Lounge, plus a nightclub, cinema and auditorium, casino, shopping boutique, photo shop, library, card and bridge room, and a beautiful marble reception area.
