City Tour Santiago de Chile – Half Day
Pick up from airport to start the traditional city tour of Santiago de Chile. We start visiting the principal streets of Santiago in our vehicle. We will watch the government house called “Casa de la Moneda”, or The Moneda Palace. We can see the neoclassical splendour before continuing onto the ambient Plaza de Armas to admire the filigreed spire of the Cathedral. Another great building is the Museum of National History and the Central Post Office. After a stop, we will enjoy the green area of El Parque, or Parque Forest, a sprawling city park based on the design of Paris’ Champs-Elysees. Enjoy the gorgeous greenery and scattered sculptures before venturing to the bohemian neighborhood of Bellavista, home to resident artists and poets, to admire the street art.
After a short stop, we can ascend to Saint Lucia hill to enjoy a unique panoramic view of the Andes chain. Finally, our guide will stop in Los Granderos del Alba, a handicraft village with boutiques for unique souvenirs before returning to your hotel. Duration: 5 hours.

Milodon Cave (Cueva del Milodon)
In 1896, German explorer Eberhard Hermann entered a cave and found strange remains inside, the fur and bones of the extinct Mylodon sloth. Named after the giant ground sloth found within, Milodon Cave (Cueva del Milodon) is the largest of several caves within Cueva del Milodon National Monument. But the sloth wasn’t the only inhabitant of the caves. Remains of other extinct species, including a sabre-toothed cat and a dwarf horse, as well as evidence of human habitation from as early as 6,000 BC have been found within the caves.
Grey Glacier is a glacier in the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, just west of the Cordillera del Paine. It flows southward into the lake of the same name. Before dividing in two at its front end, the glacier is 6 kilometers wide and over 30 meters high. In 1996, it occupied a total area of 270 km2 (100 sq mi) and a length of 28 km (17 mi). In November 2017 a large iceberg broke off the glacier.
