The Kunming Flying Tigers Memorial Hall is an essential destination that honors the legacy of the Flying Tigers, intertwining personal stories with historical narratives. Formally the headquarters of the AVG, it is located across from Spring City 66, it features free admission and generally takes about 30-60 minutes to explore.

We toured the museum and rested watching old film clips circa WWII Kunming. We ordered Coca-Cola and they ran out and purchased it for us.  We did not want a cocktail in the Officer's Club that early in the day.

Thanks to Kunming's near-tropical setting at an elevation of 2000m, visitors can enjoy a mild climate with average temperatures hovering around 15°C (59°F).
