Whether it is through the Roaring Riot, Sports Fans Travel, or even going back to my college days of DJing and throwing parties, building community by creating meaningful experiences for people has always been my passion. People have often told me that I am “lucky” to get to do what I love, but, truthfully, building events and connection opportunities with the purpose of forming relationships and bringing people joy is what I am good at – possibly the only thing. So, learning how to build businesses around those skills was necessary for me to find professional success. For the last 16 years, football and its fans has been the medium at the center of those experiences.
Until now!
This last year I have been working on a new opportunity to challenge my skillset. A new, or renewed way to create community and to build ever-lasting, memorable experiences for people. In April of 2023 I joined my family friend and now partner, Charles Kropke, in purchasing the S/V Mandalay – a 100-year-old, three mast sailing schooner, and one of the two remaining vessels from the Windjammer Barefoot Cruises original fleet. She is currently docked in Trinidad and is waiting her complete and thorough restoration.
This is where you come in….
Our goal is to not only restore the Mandalay, Charles and I have a vision and a plan to launch our company, Windjammer Sailing Adventures, with two to three sailing schooners, with an ultimate goal to establish a full sailing schooner cruise line with 8-10 ships cruising the Caribbean.
To help reach this goal we have recently launched an SEC-approved capital campaign, including a crowd-funding component, where anyone is welcome to purchase equity in our company.
